Are you a flutist looking for inspiration and new flute friends? Would you like to try contemporary playing techniques such as key clicks and jet whistles? Play flute duets, trios, and quartets and learn professional musicians' secrets for beautiful ensemble playing?
Emissary Quartet's Flute Day is an inspiring workshop for flute students ages 12-18 meant to deepen their private lesson or band experience. Small hands-on classes will cover topics such as extended techniques and performance preparation, and chamber music reading sessions will address ensemble playing skills. Registration Fees:
$50 online in advance**
$40 for two or more students registering together in advance**
$55 at the door (cash or check, please)
Scholarships are available! See Financial Aid application below.
Parents and flute teachers attend free with a registered participant
**Participants must register online before Friday, April 21 to receive discounted rate. Online payments will be invoiced through PayPal once registration form has been processed.
