Emissary Quartet will spend five days performing and teaching in Seattle, WA, April 18-22, 2017. This tour is centered around the goal of bringing flute quartet to students of all ages and inspiring Seattle youth to get creative with classical music. Here's what we'll be up to during the week:
Middle and high school musicians join EQ and Seattle-based composer Kaley Lane Eaton for a 5-week composition workshop, culminating in performances of the participants' work by Emissary Quartet. More information here.
Students enrolled in Seattle Music Partners' after-school music program at Bailey Gatzert Elementary School will be treated to a private performance, and flute students and their tutors will explore contemporary flute techniques with EQ through our interactive Wedge Workshop.
